Physical application of loving kindness
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that has been around for some time. It combines elements of yoga and acupressure to increase flexibility, relieve muscle and joint tension and balance the body’s energy systems. It is often referred to as “the lazy man’s yoga” or “the physical application of loving kindness to the body.”
During a Thai Yoga session, the client lies on a soft mat while the practitioner uses various techniques, including compression, stretching, pulling, and rocking the body as well as applying pressure to certain energy points. This form of Thai Yoga removes blockages of energy and traumas held in the body. With gentle stretches combined with Hatha Yoga, one can return to a balanced and harmonious state within both mind and body.
A Thai Yoga Massage stimulates pressure points and meridian lines to open the body’s energy pathways, which allows the body to heal. Some of the many benefits of this type of massage are increased flexibility, relief from pain and muscle tension, improved range of motion, stress relief and deep relaxation, improved circulation and lymphatic flow, as well as relief from headaches and increased energy levels.
“You will never, ever reach your full potential if you do not open your heart.”
